ZetTrans has announced today that a trial will begin this evening of a six-day per week 19:00 departure from Lerwick to Sumburgh Airport.
To allow for essential repairs to a sewer in Commercial Road, Lerwick, part of the junction at the northerly end of King Harald Street will be closed to all traffic from Tuesday 3rd September.
ZetTrans, Shetland’s transport partnership, will host sixteen drop-in sessions across Shetland over the next six weeks as it seeks the views of everyone about the public bus network.
Service 24V will operate to the Saturday timetable throughout May due to a single vessel service on Yell Sound.

Due to a road closure, Service 13 will have a temporary timetable in place from 4th September 2023 until 22nd December 2023 inclusive.
Due to the Esplanade being closed from 07:30 on Wednesday 26th July until 10:00 on Sunday 30th July, a number of local bus services will be operating with diversions.
In a change to previous information issued, Service 7 will be provided by 2 vehicles Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 16:00 from Tuesday 6th June until Monday 12th June 2023 inclusive.
The 1040 Service 23 departure from the Viking Bus Station on Saturdays has been altered to a 1030 departure to ensure connections with the Yell Sound ferry are maintained.
