‘Game changing’ mussel farming growth project set to get underway next year
The growth deal will see £100 million invested by government in Scotland’s three island local authority areas
The scheme will see the UK and Scottish Governments each commit £50 million to projects benefitting Shetland, Orkney and the Western Isles

Councils in Shetland, Orkney and the Western Isles have requested a combined £300 million
There are hopes that 700 jobs could be created in Shetland as a result of the growth deal
