Job Title: Visitor Experience Assistant, Shetland Museum & Archives
Overview: Are you passionate about Shetland’s culture and heritage and enjoy working with the public? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Visitor Experience Team, providing an outstanding welcome and service to all our visitors, maximising their enjoyment of the Shetland Museum and Archives.

The successful candidate will provide outstanding customer service, maintain a positive, welcoming and safe environment, and have a proactive and helpful attitude to all visitors and colleagues. The duties are varied and the post-holder will be expected to assist in many aspects of running the service.

Work will normally be based at the Shetland Museum and Archives, Hay’s Dock, Lerwick, but may involve work at other Shetland Amenity Trust sites for varying periods. Weekend and evening work is required which may often be unsupervised.

Location: Lerwick and throughout Shetland
Job Type: Temporary, full-time (37 hours per week) to end September 2025. Flexible start/end date.
Pay: £12.60 per hour (inclusive of all allowances)
Department: Visitor Experience Team
