We have vacancies in the following areas: Ronas Voe, Gonfirth, Whalsay, Cliftsound (Burra) & Score Holms (Scalloway).

We are currently recruiting for individuals to join our marine teams at various locations within Shetland. We have opportunities for Trainee Husbandry and Husbandry roles, so whether you’re looking to begin or progress your aquaculture career, this might be the opportunity you are looking for.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The husbandry role is a crucial part of our operation process and ensures that the best management of our superior quality Scottish salmon is delivered.

We want people to lead on fish health, feed and performance; to lead on Health and Safety; to drive change; to challenge us and themselves and in doing so, gain industry-leading rewards.

Husbandry duties include but is not limited to:

  • Monitoring and maintaining fish health & welfare.
  • Identification and reporting of lice levels
  • Sample weighing
  • Water quality & environmental monitoring
  • Maintaining high bio security levels
  • Harvests
  • Site house keeping
  • General husbandry practices.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for ambitious, enthusiastic individuals who are team players, proactive in health and safety and who pride themselves in delivering to a high standard. In order to strive for high performance strong communication skills, good work ethic and a problem-solving attitude are among some of the ideal qualities for these roles.

To apply for a role with us, you must be eligible to work in the UK. You must also be able to achieve and retain an ML5 medical.
