Job Title: Trainee Bus & Coach Driver
Hours: Flexible during training, min. 40 hours per week once qualified
Location: Lerwick & Sella Ness
We have a vacancy for a trainee bus driver to join us on a full-time basis (upon completion of training). A full Cat.B (car) licence is required.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be able to pass an enhanced disclosure PVG to work with children & vulnerable adults.
Full training will be provided with all costs covered. Theory tests take place in Shetland; the practical exam will be in Aberdeen.
Training can fit around your current job, or you can start work immediately as a taxi driver on a part-time basis (20-25hrs per week) whilst completing training. Once qualified, you’ll be driving service buses, school runs, tours and private hires.
Working hours will be varied and the successful candidate will need to be willing to work unsociable hours including late nights and weekends.
Rates of pay (once qualified):
£13ph standard rate
£15ph evening rate (after 1930hrs)
£15ph for tours & private hires
£17ph for all work on Sundays
