Location: Scalloway Campus, Port Arthur, Scalloway, Shetland ZE1 0UN
Salary: £29,870 – £32,181 per year plus distant islands allowance (pro rata)
Contract Type: Permanent
Position Type: Full-Time
Hours: 35 hours per week
Work From Home: Hybrid

 

A position has come available in our Student Support Team to support our students across both our Lerwick and Scalloway Campuses. Your primary role will be to work with students who face barriers to learning and to work with them to assess their needs in order to draw up a learning plan. You will make recommendations to colleagues on appropriate adjustments and help the learners to achieve their learning goals. You will work with internal and external partners and help with students who require a transition into Higher and Further Education.

You will become an integral part of the existing student support team and help provide advice and guidance to students. Training will be provided on the relevant support systems and you will have the opportunity to obtain a qualification in Inclusive Learning. You will become a key contact for students and staff and help support students throughout their learner journey.
