VACANCY

Full-Time, Permanent
42.5 Hours per week with a 1 in 3 weekend rota (Site Assistant only)

 

LOCATION

Unst & Yell, Shetland (Trainee – Unst only)

THE ROLE

Site Assistant – The successful candidates will find themselves directly reportable to their Site Manager and will have the opportunity to work with the following area of the farming process: feeding, grading, splitting, fish husbandry, harvesting and general site maintenance.

Trainee Site Assistant – Similar to the above, the successful candidate will find themselves directly reportable to the Site Manager and will have the opportunity to work with the following areas of the farming process: feeding, grading, splitting, fish husbandry, harvesting and general site maintenance. A full range of training will be provided including SVQ qualifications, allowing the successful candidate to gain the knowledge and experience to become one of our future fish farmers. 

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

Candidates must be flexible with working hours and days.
Inter-personal and excellent communication skills.

Site Assistant – ​Full training can be provided to the successful candidates, however obtaining and maintaining an ML5 certificate is essential for the role.
Be good team players but have the ability to work independently when required.
