Post: Recreation Assistant (Maternity cover FOR APPROX 9 months)
Location: Whalsay Leisure Centre
Rate of pay: £11,201 per annum including Island Allowance
Hours of work: Average 14.5 hours per week, on a 3 week Rota
MON TUE WED THU FRI SAT SUN
Week 1 OFF OFF 12.30 – 17.30 09.00 – 13.00 11.00 – 13.00 OFF OFF
Week 2 09.00 – 17.00 OFF 12.30 – 17.30 09.00 – 13.00 OFF OFF OFF
Week 3 OFF 15.30 – 22.00 12.30 – 17.30 09.00 – 13.00 OFF OFF OFF

 

Overall Purpose of the Role

To work as part of a small team delivering a high standard of service to customers, which ensures they can make full and safe use of the facilities. To assist with the effective and efficient day-to-day running of the Centre.

Successful applicants will hold National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or have ability to gain this within three months employment. (Full training will be given.) If applicant does not hold NPLQ, a swim test must be completed prior to interview.
