Quality Monitor
Lerwick

(12-month fixed term contract)

 

We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Monitor to join our Quality team who are responsible for ensuring the highest welfare, food safety and product quality standards for our customers. This will be on a 12-month fixed term contract.

The role | is designed to assist in the product quality assurance programme which includes fish welfare parameters. As a Quality Monitor, you will provide guidance to staff to ensure all quality/food safety requirements are implemented and maintained. Where product or operational procedures fall out of specification, you will communicate promptly to the Quality Supervisor and Processing Management Team.

The ideal candidate | will have good attention to detail, an assertive and balanced approach and an understanding of Fish Welfare requirements. You should be able to prioritise and manage your own workload whilst managing effective relationships with the Quality and Processing teams. You should be flexible with start times as this role has rotational early starts.

Hours of work will be 40 hours per week, any 5 days over 7 with seasonal overtime available.

Qualifications | A certificate in Food hygiene level 2, HACCP and RSPCA fish welfare training would be advantageous but full training can be provided.
