Individual Employers across Shetland are looking to recruit the right people to be their Personal Assistant (PA). Shetland Community Connections provides initial support with recruitment to these individual employers.

A PA is employed by the person themselves or their family to provide support to live an independent life. This can focus on a person’s social, emotional needs as well as to get out and about and can sometimes include support with personal care such as washing and dressing.  The PA role is a varied one, so you need to look at the individual adverts on our website to see what an individual is looking for. Experience is not always required, however enthusiasm and positive attitude to support the person to live the life they wish is essential!
