NESTING SCRAPSTORE TEAM LEADER (fixed-term contract to 31st Dec 2025)

Salary £13 per hour, 20 hours per week

 

Are you a self-motivated person who would like to support our social enterprise to reach its full potential – all whilst promoting community reuse and recycling of goods?  If so, we would like to hear from you!

 

Scrapstore Team Leader duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Leading Scrapstore activities by coordinating and assisting volunteers
  • Marketing and promotion of the Scrapstore
  • Maintaining and enhancing the Scrapstore Facebook page
  • Identifying new reuse/recycling opportunities

Strong communication skills and the physical ability to perform the tasks required by the role are essential. Previous experience in leading or supervising workers or volunteers is desirable.

There is some flexibility with work times, although there is a requirement to work on Sundays during Scrapstore opening hours (2-5pm), and Wednesdays (1-4pm).  The post will be based at the Aald Skül, South Nesting. Some occasional travel within Shetland may be required, and therefore car access is essential (mileage allowance is provided for this).
