Mechanical Fitter – Permanent Role – Lerwick: 2 on 2 off
Lerwick Engineering and Fabrication have a Mechanical Fitter vacancy to join us at Sullom Voe Terminal and our Greenhead base in Lerwick. The role will be to work within a dynamic team across a range of industry sectors. Applicants should have experience working in the oil and gas industry.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Repairing / maintaining pipework and mechanical systems.
- Construction of mechanical systems.
- Carry out pre-use maintenance and user checks, reporting faults.
- Ensure that the quality and health and safety management systems are followed and any problems, perceived or real are reported.
- Have a pro-active approach to all tasks carried out and demonstrate a can-do attitude.
- Strong communication skills.
The following are desirable but not essential
- MJI 10 / 19
- Knowledge with permit to work systems
- UK Driving licence
