Mechanical Apprentice

D H Marine are looking for a motivated individual to join our team, working alongside our qualified Mechanical Technicians while progressing through an apprenticeship. This is a 4-year Modern Apprenticeship which combines college and on-the-job experience working towards a SQA Diploma in Engineering (Asset Lifecycle & Maintenance) at SCQF Level 7.

With the help and support of our team, you will apply the skills and knowledge gained from training in a wide variety of marine and industrial settings. Employees are expected to perform their training and duties safely and to the best of their abilities while consistently adhering to company policies and procedures.

Work tasks include:

• Conducting installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of customer equipment within the marine and industrial sectors.
• Servicing D H Marine hire plant including generators, lighting towers, compressors.
• Enhancing your competence in mechanical engineering by working towards completion of your apprenticeship.
