Full-Time Post – General Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our operations in the Shetland Islands. Our company is a well-established provider of engineering services, specialising in marine and electrical systems for offshore, industrial, and maritime sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality.
- Manage and motivate a skilled workforce, including engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and operational efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and local stakeholders.
- Provide leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior management role, ideally within marine, electrical, or engineering sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and projects.
- Sound knowledge of health & safety, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in offshore or remote locations is an advantage.
