The Framing Co. is a professional framing business dedicated to delivering high-quality craftsmanship. We are seeking an experienced Framer to oversee all aspects of our workshop, ensuring outstanding service and top-tier framing solutions.
About the Role
As our Framer, you will take charge of a busy and professional framing workshop, ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Your role will involve everything from creating bespoke frames to managing stock and supervising staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Frame Making – Cutting, assembling, and finishing bespoke frames to the highest standards.
- Mount Cutting – Using the Wizard Mount Cutter to create precision mounts for artwork, photographs, and memorabilia.
- Customer Service – Advising customers on frame styles, materials, and design choices.
- Workshop Management – Overseeing stock levels, ordering materials, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Quality Control – Maintaining high standards in all framing work.
- Staff Supervision – Training and mentoring junior staff as needed.
- General Duties – Ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health & safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in picture framing, with a strong portfolio of previous work.
- Skilled or willing to learn to use a Wizard Mount Cutter and other framing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a busy workshop and meet deadlines.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach to work
