Job Opportunity – Fish Market Operative 

 

Grade fish at both Lerwick and Scalloway fish markets.

Shift start time, finish time and duration vary dependent on the number of boats, boxes and landing times.

Hourly rate of pay £16 for a probationary period rising to £16.50.

Overtime of £24 per hour available beyond 8 hours.

 

Work is physically demanding, staff required to work under their own initiative within a small team.

Training will be provided, but basic numeracy will be an advantage.

 

Driving is compulsory between markets therefore a clean driving licence is essential.

Applicants must be over the age of 18.
