THE ROLE
We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to take on the position of full-time Fish Health Assistant. The ideal candidate will be committed to achieving the best results in a challenging environment and delivering the highest standards of performance and quality possible.
The successful candidate will report to the Fish Health Managers and oversee Fish Health at our Orkney and Shetland sites. The candidate can be based in Orkney or Shetland and must be willing to travel regularly.
The main day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Fish Health routine monitoring.
- Providing on-site diagnostic service for the sites in line with Company Strategies.
- Producing regular reports for the rest of the Fish Health Team and farming sites.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates must have relevant qualification and experience in Aquaculture or Fish Health, preferably a degree or similar.
- Candidate must be flexible with working hours and days.
- Excellent IT skills and good all round knowledge of MS Office, as well as good reporting skills.
- Well organised and self-motivated but also with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
- A willingness to travel within the UK will be required.
- Full UK driving licence is essential due to the remote locations of our sites.
