Electrical Apprentice

D H Marine are looking for a motivated individual to join our team, working alongside our qualified Electrical Technicians while progressing through an apprenticeship. This is a 4-year Modern Apprenticeship that combines off-island college and on-the-job experience, leading to a final FICA test and an SVQ in Electrical Installation at SCQF Level 7.

With the help and support of our team, you will apply the skills and knowledge gained from training in a wide variety of marine and industrial settings. Apprentices are expected to perform their training and duties safely and to the best of their abilities while consistently adhering to company policies and procedures.

Work tasks include:

• Conducting installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of customer equipment within the marine and industrial sectors.
• Servicing D H Marine hire plant including generators, lighting towers, compressors.
• Enhancing your competence in electrical engineering by working towards completion of your apprenticeship.

It is a pre-condition of an apprenticeship offer that you must have passed the Scottish Electrical Charitable Training Trust (SECTT) Pre-employment assessment. To do this you must first register with SECTT. Please see www.sectt.org.uk and follow the instructions.
