We have an exciting opportunity for a recent Graduate to join us as a Business Development Officer.

 

Normal place of Work – COPE Ltd, Port Business Park, Gremista, Lerwick.

Hours of Work – 35 hours per week

Salary – £26,000/annum

 

The purpose of the Business Development Officer is to assist delivery on COPE Strategic priority to “Engage in the pursuit of business growth opportunities to sustain and grow financial sustainability of COPE Ltd”. This is initially a 12 month contract with extension dependent on funding.

The successful candidate will support our commercial development. This will include undertaking market research, working on product and service development initiatives, and working closely with our existing teams. It is also expected that the successful candidate will assist in developing COPE’S Net Zero Plan within the first 6 months in the role.

We are looking for an individual with passion and drive and very good communication skills. It is important that the candidate aligns with COPE’s vision and values.

This is an exciting time for COPE as we are about to embark on a significant extension to our Shetland Home Co operation, and continue to develop our Shetland Soap Company and Garden Co. operations.

This role is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and there is a requirement that you have obtained a minimum of an HND in Business or a related discipline in the last 4 years.
