A TWENTY seven year old man from Merseyside was fined £400 for a breach of the peace involving two underage girls at Lerwick’s Market Cross on 8 May.
Martin Stringer, of Longlane, Liverpool, pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, 23 year old Ryan Williamson, of Quoys, Lerwick, was fined £300 after pleading guilty to a charge of possessing ecstasy at the town’s Thule Bar on 18 October last year.
Finally, a young Burra man was ordered to carry out 70 hours of unpaid work for assaulting his former partner at an address in Scalloway.
Twenty five year old Graeme Hannah, of Westcliffe, Hamnavoe, admitted punching a woman on her head and body as well as spitting in her face when appearing before Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday morning.
Hannah was also fined £100 for breaching bail conditions.
