Letters / Not the company’s view
In relation to your story Fishing for Yes (SN, 29/07/14), I’d like to point out that John Gold’s views are made in a personal capacity, not as manager of Frankie’s Fish & Chips.
John made this abundantly clear to those behind the new campaign, yet they have disingenuously chosen to draw on Frankie’s award-winning status to promote their views.
Businesses do not have a vote in the referendum, and we at Frankie’s have refrained from taking a stance on the issue for this reason.
Our staff are of course free to voice their opinions, but they do so as individuals and not as representatives of the business.
