News / Three bailed after drug arrests
TWO men and a woman have been released on bail after appearing in Lerwick Sheriff Court facing charges following a series of drug raids by local police.
Officers entered houses in Lerwick and Shetland’s south mainland on Thursday and say they recovered quantities of suspected heroin, cocaine, cannabis, valium and illegally prescribed prescription drugs.
On Friday one man and a woman appeared in private from custody before honorary sheriff Eric Peterson.
Sarah Gibson, aged 22, of Sandwick, and 24 year old Scott Morrison, of Bressay, made no plea or declaration and were released on bail.
Andrew Flaws, aged 28, appeared in public court charged with being concerned in the supply of the Class C drug diazepam, also known as valium, from his home at 34b Grodians, Lerwick on Thursday.
His case was continued without plea until 8 February and he too was released on bail.
