News / Man dies on fishing boat
GRAMPIAN police are investigating the death of a 37 year old man on board the Peterhead registered fishing vessel Starlight Rays.
The man was one of three airlifted to hospital in Aberdeen and Lerwick on Thursday evening.
The Starlight Rays was working for the oil industry on stand-by duties in the Devenick field, around 187 kilometres south east of Fair Isle.
It is understood the men were overcome by fumes in the engine room of the vessel.
