SHETLAND police are looking for witnesses who may have seen a serious assault on a 44 year old man on Lerwick’s Commercial Street on Saturday night.
Police say a man and a woman attacked the man at around 9.15pm outside the Tatties & Point takeaway.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Lerwick police station on 01595 692110 or the safer Shetland Action Line on 694544.
Meanwhile a 19 year old woman is being reported to the procurator fiscal after being charged with shoplifting in Lerwick on Saturday.
The same day a 33 year old man was issued with a fixed penalty of urinating in Lerwick town centre.
