Whalsay 3 v Delting 0
Whalsay started strong and Fiona Dally scored their first from a short corner, while Delting were left with just 10 players due to an early injury.
Maggie Irvine made it 2-0 from a Victoria Duthie cross before half time, and she scored again in the second half thanks to a pass from Angelina Jamieson.
Player of the match for Delting was Debbie Robertson and for Whalsay was Fiona Dally.
Rosebowl
Juniors 1 v Burra 1
Despite having just nine players, Juniors set a fast pace and scored after 15 minutes when Rowan Nicholson made good a strong pass from Karis Irvine.
Burra fought back hard and with both teams playing superb hockey, they evened the score in the second half thanks to Kirsty Halcrow.
Megan Hibbert was awarded player of the match for Juniors and Joyce Adamson for Burra.
Delting 0 v Spurs 4
The game started evenly, but after 25 minutes Emma Gray started Spurs’ run of goals with a well struck shot from the edge of the circle, and moments later she made it 2-0 as Delting floundered.
The north team fought back, but were dominated by Spurs who forced some fabulous saves from Toni Sidgwick. Gray got her hat trick with a powerful reverse hit, and Morag Fox made it four in the closing minutes.
Players of the match were Gayle Johnson for Spurs and Nicola Blance for Delting.
