News / Fundraisers complete 80-mile walk in memory of Beth
A FATHER and daughter duo have completed their marathon walk across the length of Shetland, raising thousands for charity in the process.
Ian and Jan Cummings arrived in Sumburgh late on Thursday afternoon after setting off from Skaw in Unst on Sunday morning.
They undertook the 80-mile walk in honour of wife/mother Beth, who passed away in April following a battle with cancer.
The pair have so far raised nearly £6,000 for national charity Brain Tumour Research.
Jan said the miles were well worth the effort. “I’m really pleased with how well it went and how much money we have raised,” she said.
