Letters / Should he have declared an interest?
I heard councillor Thomson speak on Radio Shetland (29 November) strongly supporting the latest Yell windfarm proposal.
I wonder if he should have declared an interest in view of his very close family ties to the director of one of the businesses who have shares in the hypothetical development?

Shetland News asked councillor Ryan Thomson to respond. He said: “As councillor for the area, I will always answer questions openly and honestly on issues directly affecting the North Isles, to which there is no need to declare an interest.”
