Letters / Some are more equal than others
Couldn’t agree more with Mr McCarron’s eloquence (‘Educated fool, treacherous curs’, SN, 26 March 12); belligerent fools of educated schools, to alter a lyric from the Smiths.
We’re all in together as we’re all equal, but some are more equal than others. Didn’t think it would be too long before they started showing their true [blue] colours and going back to the two tier society as this recent budget shows.
As for the Lib/Dems – history will show what a bad liaison they chose, anything to taste power. Call me old fashioned but what happened to principles, or is that a thing of the past?

Shetland News is asking its many readers to consider start paying for their dose of the latest local news delivered straight to their PC, tablet or mobile phone.
Journalism comes at a price and because that price is not being paid in today’s rapidly changing media world, most publishers - national and local - struggle financially despite very healthy audience figures.
Most online publishers have started charging for access to their websites, others have chosen a different route. Shetland News currently has over 630 supporters who are all making small voluntary financial contributions. All funds go towards covering our cost and improving the service further.
