News / Shortlisted for civil engineering awards
TWO Lerwick Port Authority projects have been shortlisted for this year’s Saltire Civil Engineering Awards.
The recently launched £16.5 million Mair’s Pier development at Holmsgarth in Lerwick and the Dales Voe south quay extension have been recognised.
Both were designed by civil engineering firm Arch Henderson.
The two local projects are up against 14 projects from across Scotland including Glasgow’s Albert Bridge, the Grudie hydro scheme and the Selkirk flood protection scheme.
The winners will be announced in Edinburgh on 24 October.
Arch Henderson’s Mair’s Pier project has also been nominated in the national CDM awards, which recognise construction health and safety risk management.
