News / Something for all the family in Brae
THERE will be an action-packed series of activities in Brae this weekend as the north mainland village showcases all it as to offer.
The Come to Brae Days event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, with many of the activities free.
There will be everything ranging from fun days in hall to yoga sessions, coasteering, football tournaments and a car boot sale.
A number of local businesses will hold special events or promotions, including the Brae Building Centre, Frankie’s and the New Nort Charity Shop in the youth centre.
Organiser Danny Peterson said the range of events offers something for all the family.
“The event has been introduced to ‘show off’ all the amazing businesses, locations and opportunities in Brae,” he said.
“There are lots of excellent places to eat, drink, be active and enjoy, so we decided we would try to draw a few of them together over one weekend and put together an event to get as many people to visit them all as possible.
“Many of the events are free with a couple requiring booking ahead.
“It will be a brilliant weekend for all the family with lots of opportunities for pre-school children right up to things great grannies and great granddads will enjoy. Let’s just hope the weather is kind!
