News / Ferries delayed due to poor weather
MONDAY’s ferry sailings to and from Shetland will be delayed due to strong winds.
NorthLink’s southbound sailing from Lerwick will leave at midnight instead of 7pm, with the Hrossey only expected to arrive in Aberdeen at 2pm on Tuesday.
The Hjaltland‘s northbound trip is due to leave Aberdeen at 9pm and it should arrive in Lerwick at 11am the next day.
Tuesday’s sailings are expected to run to the usual timetable.
Shetland’s inter-island ferries meanwhile have also suffered disruption due to the weather. The Bluemull Sound, Bressay and Whalsay services are suspended, but there may be sailings in the evening.
The Yell service is currently operating to its festive timetable, but it is not guaranteed that all runs will take place.
