News / NorthLink delays
STORM fore south to south westerly winds are delaying both NorthLink passenger vessels on Easter Sunday.
While the southbound Hrossey is expected to arrive in Aberdeen at around 11am, passengers on board the Hjaltland have to wait a little longer before reaching Lerwick.
The lifeline ferry operator said on Sunday morning that the Hjaltland was estimated to arrive in Shetland only at 5.30pm after departing Kirkwall at 11am.
This will have a knock on effect on the vessel’s return journey to Aberdeen on Sunday, which is now estimated to depart at 9pm with check-in times set for between 7 and 8pm.
Meanwhile the wind is forecast to increase further before dropping to a force 5 later on Sunday afternoon.
