Letters / Energy prices
Liberal Democrat MSP Tavish Scott claims consumers in Shetland will “find it difficult” to understand why SSE has not reduced prices with the drop in oil prices.
I’ve been unsuccessful in finding any consumer who is puzzled.
When you sell off a public asset, and the company is only regulated with a light touch, huge sums of money are generated in profits and given away to shareholders.
What’s more puzzling to the electorate is what his party, in coalition with the Tories in Westminster, responsible for energy policy and regulation, have been doing about it for the past five years?
