News / Kay is the lucky winner
CONGRATULATIONS to Shetland News reader Kay Foster, from Lerwick, for winning our Christmas Quiz competition.
The council employee said receiving a ‘golden envelope’ with gift vouchers from local shops worth £230 was like an “unexpected present” for her birthday, which she celebrated earlier this week.
She said she thoroughly enjoyed finding the answers to the 25 questions, adding that it wasn’t always easy.
Many thanks to everybody who participated in the quiz. Kay managed to correctly answer 21 questions narrowly beating three others – Valerie Riddell, Desley Ritch and Shona Robertson – into second place.
Local businesses advertising on our quiz page were: Anderson & Co, Camera Centre, C. Kelly Opticians, Dis an Dat, Fat Little Pony, Fine Peerie Cakes, Harry’s Department Store, George Robertson Ltd, Klaize, Mareel, Muddy Bay, Nimble Fingers, Shetland Museum shop, Shetland Office Supplies, Shetland Teddy Bear Company and Sleeping Beauty Salon.
