Paid for contentShetland production team moves to Levenwick for two week long filming slot

LEVENWICK Beach and the hamlet of Netherton are set to play a major part in the next instalment of the Shetland crime drama as filming moves there for the next two weeks.

A road closure of the Netherton road will be in place during the hours of filming from Monday 21 April to Thursday 24 April, and from Sunday 27April to Friday 2 May.

Vehicular access to Levenwick Beach will not be possible during filming hours though access on foot will be at times when the beach is not in shot.

The closure is in place to allow filming of exterior scenes in the village of Netherton and reduce severe congestion due to the number of production vehicles in the area.

The closure will be taken off during non-filming hours and non-filming days.

The filming dates and times are as below:-

Monday 21/04/25 – 13:30-03:30
Tuesday 22/04/25 – 14:30-03:30
Wednesday 23/04/25 – 13:30-02:30

Thursday 01/05/25 – 07:00-20:00

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience in this matter.
