Paid for contentShetland crime drama filming continues in Lerwick and Bigton
THE SHETLAND production team will return to Lerwick for filming at two different areas of the town on Thursday 17 April.
There are also some restrictions near Bigton for drone shooting.
A stop/go traffic hold will be in place at Grodians between 8am and 5pm to enable safe exterior filming at a property in the area.
Holds will be short and be kept to an absolute minimum. Traffic will be allowed to flow freely once holds are released.
Later in the day on Thursday several parking restrictions will be in place on King Erik Street and St Olaf St to facilitate the parking of production vehicles whilst filming at Lerwick Sheriff Court.
These restrictions will be in place approx. from 4pm to 7pm.
Stop/go traffic holds may be in place to allow the safe filming of exterior scenes.
These holds will be kept to an absolute minimum and traffic will be allowed to flow freely as much as possible.
The affected streets are as follows: –
King Erik Street
King Harald Street
St Olaf Street
Lower Hillhead
Hillhead
Aitkens Place
Union Street
Charlotte Street
Hill Lane
Finally, there will also be restrictions on the B9122 between Bigton and the road’s north junction with the A970 between 1pm and 4pm on Thursday.
A stop/go traffic hold will be in place to enable safe filming of travelling ‘action vehicles’ travelling through the landscape.
During this period traffic may be asked to stop for short periods so to enable safe drone shots. Traffic may be asked to stop to allow the drone to take off or land safely.
The production team apologises for any inconvenience these restrictions may cause.
