Paid for contentScousburgh Sands to close for crime drama filming
AFTER several days of filming in Lerwick, the Shetland production team will move south to Spiggie while the team’s drone unit will be working in Northmavine.
On Wednesday 16 April, the road near Scousburgh Sands – beyond the junction with Southerhouse and as far as Spiggie House – will be closed for most of the day to facilitate filming at the beach.
A manned closure will be in place from 10am to 8pm.
Also on Wednesday a stop/go traffic hold will be put in place on the A970 between Eela Water and East Burn Woods, in Northmavine. This will operate between 12 midday and 4pm.
During this period traffic may be asked to stop for short periods so to enable safe drone shots of ‘action vehicles’ travelling through the landscape. Traffic may be asked to stop to allow the drone to take off or land safely.
The production team apologises in advance for any inconvenience these restrictions may cause.
For further queries regarding any of the upcoming restrictions, please contact assistant location managers Andy “Mod” Ross (07963 713 446 or jamiros@aol.com) or Lyall Gair (07786 653 859 or lyallgair@yahoo.co.uk).
