Paid for contentRising North tickets to go on sale tonight
IT IS only around four months until the Rising North music festival returns bigger than ever – and tickets are going on sale tonight (Friday).
Tickets for the evening gigs at the Clickimin in Lerwick on Friday 15 August and Saturday 16 August are going on sale via the Rising North website at 7pm.
They sold out in a matter of minutes last year and demand is expected to be high again.
This time around visiting acts High Fade (Friday) and Callum Beattie (Saturday) will headline the Clickimin, while the festival will continue to showcase local talent too.
Sales of evening tickets are limited to four per event per purchase, for a price of £40 each.
This means people can buy a maximum of four tickets for the Friday evening or a maximum of four tickets for Saturday evening per purchase.
Organisers explained: “If you wish to attend both nights you will have to complete your order for the first event then come back and place an order for the second event. This is to try and offer as many people as possible the chance to attend Rising North Festival 2025.”
They added that due to circumstances outwith their control, the evening events this year are strictly for ages 18+.
Who is on the line-up for the evening events at the Clickimin?
Edinburgh based High Fade will headline the Friday night – an act described as being on a “three-man crusade to set dance floors alight with their inimitable brand of razor-sharp funk and disco”.
The trio have recently been on a two-month tour in America and can boast a massive social media following, including more than 440,000 followers on Instagram.

Alternative rock band The Fiction will also perform on the Friday night – a quartet with big melodies and giant riffs who released their debut album last year.
Fully Licensed will take to the stage to perform their popular range of covers – there is something for everyone, from classic hits to modern day bangers.
Also on the Friday line-up will be (the) 3310, a hi-jinks pop-punk covers band who pay homage to late 90s/early 2000s groups including Blink-182, Green Day and Sum 41.
Completing the Friday evening line-up will be Scaldin Bragg, who will get the party started with their brand of Irish-themed folk fun.
The Saturday night will be headlined by Scottish singer-songwriter Callum Beattie, who is fresh from selling out two nights at the Usher Hall last year in his hometown of Edinburgh and has a massive headline gig at the Hydro arena in Glasgow lined up for November.
Beattie, who is best known for hit songs such as Salamander Street and Hearts Stop Beating, will be joined by his band as he makes his return to Shetland having previously played in the isles as support to KT Tunstall and at a headline gig at Mareel in 2018.
Also playing the Saturday night will be Shipyard Riot, a five-piece rock band playing original tunes and covers with plenty of sing-a-long choruses, thumping drums and big riffs.
They will be joined on the bill by The Dead Pans, a power trio who are one of Shetland’s most popular covers bands playing a variety of tunes from genres like rock, pop, country, indie and more.
Also performing will be will be Hound, a hotly-tipped Glasgow-based indie band featuring Shetlander Zack Manson who made their debut in the isles at last year’s Boppapalooza festival.
Completing the Saturday evening line-up will be Rack & Ruin, a Yell party band inspired by traditional tunes, outlaw country and Americana who will no doubt be ready for a spree.
Like last year the Clickimin will be open during the day on the Saturday afternoon too, and separate tickets will be available for this.
Tickets for the Saturday daytime will go on sale at 7pm next Friday (18 April) via the Rising North website.
On the bill for the Saturday daytime will be Isaac Webb Trio, 8 Ball Jacuzzi, Quorum, Quantana, Adam Guest, Mockingbird, The Donald Anderson Band, Project 22 and Sauerkraut Seth & The Sheds.
The party does not end at the Clickimin, however.
Rising North will also be hosting free entry gigs at pubs across Lerwick on the Thursday (14 August) night, with details to be announced in due course.
Information is also set to be announced soon regarding late night events at Mareel on the Friday and Saturday nights.
Rising North will also host a final-day event at Mareel on the Sunday (17 August) afternoon.
