Police / Reports of widespread damage to vehicles in Lerwick
THERE have been reports of a number of vehicles being damaged in Lerwick last night (Sunday).
The damage, which includes scratches, has been reported on vehicles parked in a number of parts of Lerwick, including Clickimin Road, Goodlad Crescent, Russell Crescent King Haakon Street and Harbour Street.
Sound School was also damaged, with a glass pane in a door smashed overnight.
Parents at the school have been advised, Shetland Islands Council said.
Police Scotland said it had received “multiple reports of vehicles being vandalised” at addresses in Lerwick on Sunday.
“We also received a report of vandalism at a school in the Lerwick area,” it added.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who has any information, CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to contact police on 101.”
