Police / Islanders encouraged to fill in police survey
PEOPLE in Shetland are being encouraged to take part in an online survey aiming to gather views about policing across the country.
Police Scotland’s Your Police survey, which is anonymous, is open until 31 March.
Shetland area commander chief inspector Chris Sewell said it is “one of the most important ways for you to share your views on policing in your community”.
“Your feedback helps us understand what matters most to you, what we are doing well, and where we can improve,” he added.
“It directly shapes how we deliver local policing and ensures we continue to meet the needs of the people we serve.”
Sewell said in Shetland “we take pride in our close relationship with the community, and I want to ensure that everyone has a voice in shaping the policing service they receive”.
This could be related to anything from concerns about road safety, antisocial behaviour or drug-related harm, to other issues affecting quality of life.
“The results of previous surveys have already influenced how we prioritise resources and respond to local issues,” Sewell added.
“By taking part, you are helping to shape the future of policing in Shetland and across Scotland.”
