Energy / Hundreds of homes lose power
HUNDREDS of homes in Shetland – mainly in the North Mainland – are without power at the moment.
The SSE Power Track website said that at the time of writing 469 properties are affected across 23 postcodes, with power aimed to be restored by 1.30pm.
It added that the cause of the power cut is a fault on the overhead network.
