Transport / Friday’s NorthLink sailings to leave early
Met Office issues amber weather warning for wind for the north of Scotland
AS WINDY weather looms NorthLink says its two passenger sailings to and from Shetland on Friday will leave earlier than scheduled.
The northbound sailing will now leave at Aberdeen 1pm instead of the usual 7pm. Arrival in Lerwick will be in the early hours of Saturday.
The southbound sailing will now leave Lerwick at 4pm instead of 5.30pm. Arrival in Aberdeen on Saturday may be subject to a delay of up to one hour.
The Met Office has placed Shetland under an amber weather warning for wind from 1pm on Friday through to 6am on Saturday.
