Weather / Met Office issues new yellow weather warning
THE MET Office yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been extended for another day to last until Friday morning as frequent snow showers continue to affect the isles.
Roads across Shetland are passable with care. There are reports that the new Kergord road is currently closed.
Temperatures are set to fall with a daytime temperature of -4 degrees forecast for tomorrow (Friday). According to the Met Office, this will feel more like -12 degrees in the strong north westerly wind.
Meanwhile NorthLink Ferries said both its ferries will depart as scheduled but minor delays in arriving at Lerwick and Aberdeen are expected.
