Arts / Foodbank fundraising and ‘raffle like no other’ at Scalloway gig
A FOODBANK fundraiser gig is taking place in Scalloway a few days after new year – with “Shetland’s most ridiculous” raffle promised too.
Six acts – four bands and two DJs – will perform at the Scalloway Legion on 3 January.
Proceeds raised from the event, which is named Absolute Beans, will go towards the Shetland Foodbank.
People will also get the chance to enter into a rather intriguing raffle.
Organisers Lood Events say this will feature a “single, bizarre prize” – with little other detail given apart from that it will be a “raffle like no other”.
Bands on the bill will be Croft House, Brundleorse, Isaac Webb Trio and Essykert, with DJs Lyall and Yetti also set to perform.
Doors will open at 6pm, with the event for ages 18 plus. Tickets can be bought online.
