Transport / Cancellations to NorthLink services on Saturday
SATURDAY night’s NorthLink sailing from Lerwick to Aberdeen has been cancelled due to forecasted high winds.
The sailing from Aberdeen to Lerwick on Saturday will also now only go as far as Kirkwall – with the Lerwick stop cancelled.
The Hjaltland will then leave Kirkwall at 1am on Sunday morning and return to Aberdeen.
Both of Saturday’s freight sailings are also cancelled.
NorthLink had warned of the likelihood of disruption to ferry services earlier in the week.
The ferry operator said both of Sunday’s sailings would possibly be delayed, but are not expected to be cancelled at this time.
Loganair has also offered its passengers the chance to change their flights to and from Sumburgh over the weekend, warning of likely disruption.
