Arts / Winter rock festival expands to two nights as it unveils 2024 line-up

SHETLAND’s winter rock festival Riffmas has unveiled its 2024 line-up.

The event, which debuted last year, will expand to two nights at the Gulberwick Hall on 13 and 14 December.

Tickets, priced at £20 and now on sale online, give entry to both nights.

On the bill on the Friday will be (the) 3310, The Fiction, Throat Locust and Bitumen River.

Performing on the Saturday will be Ten Tonne Dozer, No Half, Stallions of the Highway and Khmer Rouge.

One of its organisers Callum Anderson said there was something for everyone to “celebrate the start of the festive”.

“Upping the ante from last year by having two nights, this allows more time for the bands to really show what they got,” he said.

“Continuing on from last year in the vein of getting unique bands to play is something we are proud of, and we are delighted to have the mighty Bitumen River making a live comeback alongside the return of young punk trio Khmer Rouge.

“Keeping the party rocking, the lineup also includes some regular titans of the local scene such as (the) 3310, The Fiction and Ten Tonne Dozer. For the small price of £20 you get access to both nights, whether you fancy seeing a couple bands on one night or enjoying the whole festival.”

Organisers said the event is for ages 16 plus.
