News / Fire at Haar Sauna in Bigton

A portable wooden sauna named "Haar Sauna" with a green roof sits on sandy ground, surrounded by a wooden fence. Rolling grassy hills and a clear blue sky are in the background.

HAAR Sauna in Bigton has been temporarily closed following a fire this afternoon (Sunday).

A fire appliance from Sandwick was called to the wood burning sauna, which is located at St. Ninian’s beach, at around 3.30pm.

They left the scene at 4.28pm.

Haar Sauna wrote on Facebook that everyone was safe, and its team had secured the situation “as quickly as possible”.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and support of our small business,” they wrote.
