FOUR glamping pods with covered hot tubs have been proposed for a site a mile from Walls.

Each of the pods will have a small, covered entrance and a hot tub and seating area, if approved by council planners.

The plans have been lodged by Laura Johnson for a new glamping site at Stennestwatt, Walls, on privately owned agricultural land.

A new access track and parking area has also been proposed as part of the plans, with the four pods set to be spaced out across the site.

It comes on the back of the Westings Inn seeking permission to build two glamping pods outside its seven-bedroom hotel in Whiteness.

There are already glamping sites in the North and South Mainland, as well as in Scalloway.
