Sport / Invincible Whitedale reserves make it back-to-back unbeaten titles
DOING it once is hard, but doing it twice in a row is a feat few thought would be possible.
Whitedale B have gone unbeaten for a second consecutive DITT Reserve League season after a final 3-0 win over nearest challengers Spurs B.
You have to go back to 31 August 2022 – some 748 days ago – since Whitedale’s reserves last lost a league game of football.
They finished this season having dropped just two points in the league, a 4-4 draw with Delting in Brae the only blemish on an otherwise perfect league season.
The West Side team racked up 74 goals in their 16 league fixtures on the way to retaining their league title, an average of more than four goals a game, and conceded just 18.
Delting prevented them from doing the unbeaten double this season, however, beating them 2-1 in the Blueshell Mussels Bloomfield Cup final on Saturday.
