I would like to thank everyone who supported me in the 2024 General Election campaign: those who voted for me, my campaign team in Orkney and Shetland, and the various people and organisations that gave me their time to outline what they hoped for from their MP and the next UK government.

Congratulations to Alistair Carmichael and the Lib Dems for their success, the other candidates involved, and to the news media who covered the campaign so well.

Whilst unsuccessful in my campaign, Orkney and Shetland will now forever have a special place in my heart.
